Chevrolet packed the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado with standard safety technology designed to help drivers avoid collisions. Chevy Safety Assist comes on every trim and includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking helps detect people crossing in front of the truck. IntelliBeam technology switches between high and low beams automatically when other vehicles are nearby. These systems work together to help Newport drivers stay alert on the road. Inside the cabin, multiple airbags provide coverage for occupants. Dual-stage frontal airbags protect the driver and front passenger, while seat-mounted side-impact airbags add another layer of security. Head-curtain airbags stretch across both front and rear seating positions. The StabiliTrak stability control system features Proactive Roll Avoidance, electronic trailer sway control, traction control, electronic trailer sway control, and hill start assist. Four-wheel antilock disc brakes give the Colorado strong stopping ability in various conditions. Additional driver-assist technology makes maneuvering the Colorado easier. Blind Zone Steering Assist monitors areas beside the truck that are hard to see. The HD Rear Vision Camera displays a clear view of what is behind you. Teen Driver mode lets parents customize settings for young drivers. Stop by George Kell Motors, Inc. at 3808 South Van Dyke Road in Newport, AR to learn more about these features.

Many drivers think cold weather is the main threat to car batteries, but summer heat can be just as harmful. High temperatures cause the fluid in your battery to evaporate faster, which leads to damage inside the battery. The heat also speeds up corrosion on battery terminals. These problems can leave you stranded when you least expect it. Drivers in Newport, AR know how intense summer temperatures can get. There are simple ways to protect your battery during hot months. Park in shaded areas when possible to keep your engine bay cooler. Have your battery tested regularly, especially if it is more than three years old. Look for signs of trouble like slow engine cranking or dim headlights. Keeping the battery terminals clean also helps maintain a strong connection. At George Kell Motors, Inc., our service team is ready to check your battery and make sure your vehicle stays reliable. You can schedule a service appointment today to stay ahead of any potential problems this summer.
